..kleine Spielerei mit einem bekannten Song..hier sozusagen die Story vor der Story..viel Spaß:)

Grandma‘s Rifle

No breakfast until afternoon
(It‘s) obvious my life has lost its track
My future looks as black as coffee
Now that my baby won't come back

Sheriff John Brown is her murderer
He fired twice straight in her face
cause she refused to be his escort lady
Next bullet hit the deputy in my place

I can't call it luck what happened
but somehow I survived
Now I sit and wait for this devil
Grandma's rifle at my side
and when he takes me in his sights
I'll know what is right

My friend Bob lives in Jamaika
He asked if I could join his band
They need a bassman but first I have
To meet the meanest of all men

I can't call it luck..

..schon klar, dass die zweite Zeile der zweiten Strophe nicht appetitlich klingt..aber was soll man machen, wenn man einen Reim auf ‚in my place‘ sucht?

..evtl für den angekündigten Blues-Contest verwendbar..

You shut the sheriff 🙂

.. ich gestehe, dass die Indizienlage erdrückend ist..

zur unappetitlichen Zeile: wie wäre es mit "he killed her with an ugly smile on his face"?

Your text conveys a rather unique mood. Good luck with the blues contest, this could definitely be a fun entry! 🎶

..vielen Dank:)

..ist der ‘unique mood‘ eher in der Song Story oder in meinem Versuch Englisch zu schreiben, zu finden?

EDIT:
..um allzu persönliches bereinigt..war nichts für die Ewigkeit..
