I’ve done a little research and what I’ve found is that because of the close integration of all the electronic guts in a laptop, adding an express card will not guaranteed that you can bypass the alleged issues caused by the ricoh chipset. I’ve read a few testimonials of this. But I’m not an IT specialist so take it with a grain of salt.
