A revision of an evolutionary EP: music that brings the sonic sensation of transformed acoustic instruments to deep dance music. Sound that holds the rich DNA of real resonating bodies of classical instruments, transformed beyond their usual sound. A sound that originates from something real, but transcends the origin.
Morgen Wurde has been crafting cinematic soundscapes for ages, channeling the mighty magic of nature with a dark, romantic touch – the majestic and awe-inspiring as well as the ominous and threatening sides of the natural forces. This music reflects the existential mystery of life itself.
Enter Tis: a master of hypnotic, psychedelic ambient sound, where relentless minimal techno grooves echo the eternal cycle of movement. Under his labels — formerly Verform Records, now Roo Records — his work has evolved into an epic, genre-blurring oeuvre with Klordop as his main project.
Both Morgen Wurde's and Tis' (aka Segensklang) solo works include contributions to recent episodes of the iconic "Pop Ambient" compilation series on Kompakt Records, curated by Wolfgang "Gas" Voigt.
On their EP "Zeitigt", these two minds come together to forge dense, atmospheric dance music that radiates mysticism and stoicism. They are joined by long-time collaborators: Maria Estrella Aggabao’s ethereal, celestial vocals rise like a supernatural presence in "Sinkt" and "Birgt", while Georges-Emmanuel Schneider’s violin playing bends between modern classical and experimental realms, enhanced with electrifying effects. With acoustic, electric and the rare straw violin, he adds an elegiac, haunting depth to "Weiß" and "Weist".
Closing the EP, Tis alias Synthese delivers a stripped-down mix of "Weiß" — a darkly glowing fusion of dub and drone that lingers in the echo chamber of the mind.
"Zeitigt" is a sonic ritual, and it is now back with a revamped mastering to deepen the transcendental experience!
