Unconventional, out-of-step music is perhaps best described in a dream picture: imagine an enchanted forest. It murmurs, rustles, and strives from the sandy bottom of a sun-drenched ocean high up - into the waves - toward the light of the sun. A unique melody is formed, carried by the sea wind to the inclined listener.

OCEAN OF TREES play original post-metal, with influences maybe from Long Distance Calling, Amenra or Katatonia. Founded in 2018 by the musicians and friends Rüdiger 'Rübe' Paul and Günther 'Günt' Vogt, who have been rooted in the Munich band scene (sleepingodslie, no god innocent) for over 20 years, the first self-titled and, above all, self-produced album is now available. It was recorded and mixed in 2022 in the well-known studio 'The Engine' studio.

Do you feel put into the oceanic picture? Then I may directly recommend the track 'Thirteen' for you as a play tip.

So far OCEAN OF TREES allow themselves to work purely instrumental, to give extra space to the complex guitar and drum figures. The next goal is to expand the core project to include live musicians to bring the extensive music to the halls. We are very much looking forward to that.
